David Redfern appointed chief executive officer of Eastern Canada division of Lafarge Canada

Canada: Lafarge Canada has appointed David Redfern as the chief executive officer (CEO) of its Eastern Canada operations. Previously Product Line General Manager for Western Canada Aggregates and the Greater Vancouver area, Redfern joined LafargeHolcim in 1999 and has held numerous roles of increasing responsibility throughout Canada and France. He holds more than 25 years of experience in the construction materials business.
Redfern received his Bachelor of Political Science degree from Queen's University in Kingston. He also holds certificates of achievement from Duke University, INSEAD and the University of Toronto. He is a Board member of the National Zero Waste Council and Business Council of British Columbia.
Reinhard Schäfer joins board of Bosch Rexroth

Germany: Reinhard Schäfer has joined the management board of Bosch Rexroth. He succeeds Bertram Hoffmann, who left the company at the end of March 2019.
Schäfer, aged 54 years, takes on Hoffmann’s responsibilities for manufacturing and quality management at the engineering company. The mechanical engineer began his career in 1986 as a trainee at the former Rexroth Star in Schweinfurt and advanced to the position of technical plant director and managing director. He then held a number of executive positions in manufacturing and quality management in different areas within the automotive division of the Bosch Group in Germany, the Netherlands and China.
Raymond Barro to be appointed as next chairman of Adelaide Brighton

Australia: Raymond Barro will be appointed as the next chairman of Adelaide Brighton at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) in May 2019. He succeeds Zlatko Todorcevski, who will become Lead Independent Director and deputy chairman. Todorcevski has spent less than a year in the role. The Barro family owns a 43% stake in Adelaide Brighton. Rhonda Barro was nominated as a director of Adelaide Brighton earlier in March 2019.
Julie Precious appointed as Chain Division Key Account Manager at John King Chains

UK: John King Chains has appointed Julie Precious as Chain Division Key Account Manager. The role is a newly created one and part of the group’s UK Sales team. Precious holds Key Account Management experience having worked for various blue chip clients. She also holds 16 years’ worth of knowledge from working for a materials handling and chain conveyor business.
Yeoh Khoon Cheng appointed as chief executive officer of Lafarge Malaysia

Malaysia: Lafarge Malaysia has appointed Yeoh Khoon Cheng as its chief executive officer (CEO). He has held the role of interim CEO since late 2018 and was also the company’s chief financial officer (CFO), according to the New Vision newspaper. Edward James Coultrup will succeed Yeoh as CFO.
Yeoh, aged 60 years, holds over 30 years of experience in the cement industry and 18 years of experience as a CFO. He has worked for LafargeHolcim’s subsidiaries and predecessor companies since 1999. He first held the CFO post in Malayan Cement Berhad, now Lafarge Malaysia, from 1999 until 2011. He has since been CFO at Lafarge Cement China and Huaxin Cement. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
