Egypt: Misr Beni Suef recorded sales of US$23.5m in the first quarter of 2022, up by 70% year-on-year from US$13.8m in the first quarter of 2021. The producer recorded a net profit of US$2.57m, up by 28% year-on-year from US$2.01m.

Denmark: FLSmidth’s 2021 full-year sales were US$2.66bn, up by 6.8% year-on-year from US$2.99bn in 2020. The group had previously forecast sales of US$2.42 – 2.57bn in its guidance for the year. Its EBITA margin was 5.9%, in the upper end of the company’s guidance of 5 – 6%. The company said that the result included costs of acquiring Thyssenkrupp’s mining business.

China: Tangshan Jidong Cement says that it expects its consolidated net profit to drop by up to 3.5% year-on-year to US$441m in 2021 from US$457m in 2021. Its full-year cement and clinker sales were 99.7Mt in 2021, down by 7% year-on-year.
