Germany: Events producer Easyfairs has announced the postponement of Solids Dortmund to 16 – 17 February 2022 from June 2021. The company said that all Solids Dortmund tickets and free codes for June 2022 remain valid for the new dates. It added that it plans to launch Solids on Tour, consisting of new Solids RegioDays in Chemnitz, Saxony, and Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg. It will also use virtual formats to help networking and business in bulk handling throughout 2021.

Colombia: Cementos Argos will hold the virtual launch of Argos Green Solutions on 17 March 2021. The company will use the group to set out its vision of innovation to build a sustainable future. President Juan Esteban Calle and sustainability vice president María Isabel Echeverri will host the event.

Argentina: The Instituto del Cemento Portland Argentino (ICPA) has announced that a series of ten talks, entitled Vision 2030 – a Decade of Action, will take place in late October 2020. It says that the presentations, “will provide a space for reflection on 10 key topics on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals agenda.” 

The event is also a celebration of ICPA’s 80th anniversary.

Germany: Vecoplan has said that it will host 360-Degree Days, an exclusive live presentation from its technology centre, from 27 - 29 May 2020. It says that the event is aimed at filling the void left by the cancellation of IFAT 2020, which would have covered waste and raw materials management, due to the coronavirus outbreak. Vecoplan said, “Participants will learn all about recycling and processing technology, subdivided into several topic areas. Details on the content will be announced closer to the time.”

Germany: Easyfairs Deutschland has announced that its Solids & Recycling-Technik Dortmund trade fair will not be taking place on 1 – 2 April 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. It has postponed the event to 24 – 25 June 2020, pursuant to a ‘general decree by the authorities,’ namely the City of Dortmund and the Ministry of Health of North Rhine Westphalia.

Easyfairs event director Sandrina Schempp told attendees, “Our team will actively contact you by telephone in the coming days regarding further procedures.”

Germany: The 4th Global CemBoards Conference & Exhibition has begun at the Marriott Hotel in Freising, near Munich, Germany. The event, which covers global market trends in cement-based boards and panel systems, the latest advances in production technology and how producers can add value to their products worldwide, will hear nine presentations over the course 21 and 22 January 2020.

The event is also host to a related exhibition of suppliers to the global cement board sector. Extensive opportunities for networking will be available, with the Global Boards Social Evening held at the Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan on the evening of the first day.
