Algeria: The Saoura Cement Company has ordered a MVR 5000 R-4 mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for a new cement plant at Bechar. The 350t/hr raw cement mill will grind material to a fineness of 12% R90µm and the drive will have a power of 3800kW. Delivery for the mill is scheduled for the first half of 2018. The MVR mill is the fourth that Gebr. Pfeiffer has received an order for in Algeria.
Algeria: The Saoura Cement Company has chosen a MVR 5000 R-4 mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for the new production line at its plant in Zahana. The 425t/hr raw cement mill will grind material to a fineness of 12 % R90µm and the drive will have a power of 3500kW. The expected moisture level of the input material will be 13%. The order was placed by CBMI, a subsidiary of China’s Sinoma, that is building a plant upgrade for Groupe des Ciments d’Algérie (GICA).
Uzbekistan: Turkey’s DAL Teknik Makina has ordered a MVR 5000 R-4 cement grinding mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for a project in the Surxondaryo region. The mill will have a 3700kW drive and it will be able to grind 400t/hr of cement. Feed material with a moisture level of up to 7% will be ground to a fineness of 12% R 0.090mm. The mill will be ready for shipping later in 2017. The project is the second mill that DAL Teknik Makina has ordered from Gebr. Pfeiffer.
Gebr. Pfeiffer reveals mill orders in India and Pakistan
04 April 2017India/Pakistan: Gebr. Pfeiffer has released information about orders for its mills for projects in India and Pakistan. In India Wonder Cement has ordered a MVR 6000 C-6 vertical roller mill from the company for its Nimbahera cement plant in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The mill will have a 5820kW drive and it will grind cement to a fineness of 4500 cm²/g according to Blaine. The mill can also be used to grind blended cement using slag, fly ash and gypsum.
Core components of the mill, including the rollers, will be supplied from Europe. The mill foundation parts, the housing and the integrated SLS 5600 BC classifier will be provided by Gebr. Pfeiffer India. Delivery of the mill is scheduled by the end of 2017.
In Pakistan Cherat Cement have ordered a MVR 6300 C-6 mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for its cement plant in Cherat. The mill will grind 365t/hr of Ordinary Portland Cement to a fineness of 3200cm2/g according to Blaine. The MultiDrive will have a total output of 7800kW. Delivery is scheuled for 2018.

India: Sagar Cement has ordered a vertical roller mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for grinding granulated blast-furnace slag and granulated blast-furnace slag cements. The mill will be used at a new 160t/hr slag grinding plant at the cement producer’s Bayyavaram Village unit near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Delivery is scheduled to take place before the end of 2017. No price for the order has been disclosed.
The order is for a MVR 5000 C-4 mill equipped with a 4300kW-drive and four grinding rollers with active redundancy. The plant will grind granulated blast-furnace slag with a fineness of about 4,500 cm²/g acc. Blaine and it will also be able to grind composite cements from varying portions of granulated blast-furnace slag, fly ash and gypsum.
Core components of the mills, including the roller, tension system, grinding bowl and planetary gearbox, will be supplied from Europe. The mill foundation parts, the housing and the integrated high-efficiency classifier of the type SLS 4750 BC will be provided by Gebr. Pfeiffer India. The local subsidiary will also supply most of the equipment required to complete the grinding plant, including the plant fan and hot gas generator.
Colombia: Gebr. Pfeiffer has sold a Ready2Grind modular grinding system with a MVR 2500 C-4 mill to LafargeHolcim Colombia. The order consists of a Ready2Grind with a finished product storage area and a packing plant supplied by Claudius Peters. No value for the sale has been disclosed.
Gebr Pfeiffer receives order from Cemminerals for grinding plant
26 January 2017Belgium: Gebr Pfeiffer has received an order from Cemminerals to supply a grinding plant for slag and cement. The plant, in Flanders, will use a MVR 5300 C-6 type mill. The order was taken in December 2016 and the mill is scheduled for commissioning in early 2018.
The Pfeiffer MVR 5300 C-6 slag and cement mill will be used to grind five different cement qualities as well as pure slag to three different fineness degrees. The mill is guaranteed to achieve capacities of 132t/hour pure slag, ground to 5000cm²/g acc. to Blaine, and of up to 200t/hour CEM II, ground to a fineness of 3500cm²/g acc. to Blaine. The mill main drive is designed for an installed power of 4600kW, and the SLS 4750 BC high-efficiency classifier, mounted on top of the MVR mill, enables high material fineness degrees of up to 5000cm²/g acc. to Blaine.
In addition to the MVR mill the contract includes handling equipment, two in-feed devices to enable moist slag and dry clinker to be fed to the mill separately, the plant filter, the plant fan, the magnetic drum separator and all ductwork including chutes, expansion joints and the stack. The scope of supply also includes a hot gas generator for the heating of the mill, as well as all electrical drives, starters, frequency converters and the electrical switchgear.
Georgia: Gebr Pfeiffer has received an order to supply a mill for HeidelbergCement Group’s Kaspi plant. The vertical roller mill will be used in a new 3000t/day kiln line at the site. The order was placed through the China’s Sinoma Chengdu in November 2016.
The type MPS 4000 B mill, equipped with a SLS 3750 B type classifier, has been designed for a capacity of 270t/hr of raw meal. The mill will be delivered with an enlarged housing to allow the raw material with a moisture of up to 10% to be dried almost exclusively with the available preheater gases.
Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for 2018.
Gebr Pfeiffer announces first MVR mill for Iran
07 December 2016Iran: Gebr Pfeiffer has released information about a MVR 4250 R-4 raw mill that will be installed at Biarjaimand Cement Company. The raw mill, with an installed drive power of 3000kW, is designed to grind 280t/hr of cement raw material to a product fineness of ≤ 12 % R 90µm. The contract was awarded in September 2016 and the order was placed through the Chinese general contractor Beijing Kaysun Trading, a subsidiary of CATIC based in Beijing. Gebr Pfeiffer staff will also supervise erection and commissioning. The delivery of the equipment is scheduled to start in the second half of 2017.
Shree Cement orders 10 mills from Gebr. Pfeiffer
22 August 2016India: Shree Cement has ordered 10 mills from Gebr. Pfeiffer. This deal continues the cement producer’s expansion strategy across India through integrated cement and grinding plants.
Gebr. Pfeiffer will supply MVR 6000 R-6 raw mills with capacities of about 550t/hr and an installed drive power of 6700kW each for the cement plants. These installations will come equipped with MPS 2800 BK type coal mills, each featuring a 720kW drive and an integrated SLS BK classifier. MVR 6000 C-6 cement mills are planned to grind clinker and extenders in at these cement plants or at grinding plants. These types of mill are already in successful operation at various sites belonging to Shree Cement. The cement producer currently runs 24 Pfeiffer mills.
Planned grinding plants will use the MVR 6000 C-6 mill to alternatively produce 300t/hr of Ordinary Portland Cement at a product fineness of 3100cm²/g acc. to Blaine or 300t/hr of Portland Pozzolana Cement containing as much as 35% of fly ash at a product fineness of 3500cm²/g acc. to Blaine or 180t/hr of ground granulated blast-furnace slag at a product fineness of 4500cm²/g acc. to Blaine. Each of the mills will come equipped with a 6700kW drive.
Gebr. Pfeiffer SE will supply the core components of the mill and the gear units from Europe. Its Indian subsidiary, headquartered in Noida, Gebr. Pfeiffer (India), will provide the components such as the housings of the mills and classifiers, the steel foundation parts as well as the internal parts of the classifiers. In addition, the Indian subsidiary will design the plant layout and advise the customer on the equipment it will procure on its own.
