Global Cement recently ran an online survey into attitudes to global warming / climate change within the global cement sector. A wide range of responses were received from 265 participants from 59 different countries. 18% of respondents were from the US, 15% were from India, 9% were from Germany, 6% were from the UK and 3% were from France. A lot has happened since the first two-way radio was invented by Australian policeman Frederick William Downie in 1923. The development of two-way radios, or walkie-talkies as they are also known, was initially driven by the needs of the military, but they have since been used in many different areas and industries throughout the world. They have now evolved into devices that are compact, lightweight, and highly functional. In terms of industry size, two-way radios are now as big as cell phones.
