Colombia: Cementos Argos has set up a subsidiary, Granulados Reciclados de Colombia (Greco), to recycle construction material waste. The new company’s operations will be based at its Cota plant in Cundinamarca, according to La Republica newspaper. The operation is expected to process over 1Mt/yr of construction waste material. The company is a joint operation with local industrial conglomerate Fanalca and South Korean lighting equipment manufacturer Daeyang.
A TEC GRECO supplies kiln burner to Irish Cement
26 September 2013Ireland: A TEC GRECO Combustion Systems Europe GmbH has been awarded a contract by Irish Cement's Platin Works to deliver a new kiln burner for its kiln line 3.
At Platin Works, the 4300t/day FLS kiln uses petcoke and alternative fuels. The modern concept of A TEC GRECO´s Flexiflame® burner offers a high flame momentum to be able to control the flame shape according the required kiln- and process parameters in consideration of a high solid alternative fuel substitution rate.
The new Flexiflame® kiln burner will allow the plant to work more flexible with respect to future fuel supply scenarios. The new equipment is part of a policy to fulfil very strict environmental controls.
Adriano Greco joins Gebr. Pfeiffer Inc
10 April 2013South America: Gebr. Pfeiffer, Inc., the US-based subsidiary of Germany's vertical roller mill manufacturer Gebr. Pfeiffer SE, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Adriano Greco as Sales Director of the South American market.
Greco has gained extensive, world-wide industry experience through his numerous years in various management positions at GRECO Burners Company in Brazil, Austria, China and Spain. More recently, he served as General Director of ATEC GRECO in Brazil and GRECO Combustion Systems Europe GmbH in Austria.
In 2005, he was instrumental in creating the Brazilian Cement and Lime Conference. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, English, Italian and French.
