Latest Issue: Global Cement Magazine - June 2014
The June 2014 issue of Global Cement Magazine has a strong UK focus to coincide with the return of the Hillhead Quarry Show 2014 in Derbyshire on 24 - 26 June 2014. This includes a look at the key events of the UK cement industry over the past 12 months and a plant visit report from the Hanson Padeswood plant. There is also a focus on the cement-industry exhibitors that will be at Hillhead.
Elsewhere, we have a new study on the relationship between cement consumption and GDP/capita and a look at quarry rehabilitation. There is also a review of the recent Pfeiffer Convention, a look at abrasion-resistant fans and reports of milestones for Thorwesten and Hartop. There is also an interview with Spanish cement producer Cementos Molins.

Latest Issue: Global Cement Magazine - May 2014
The May 2014 issue of Global Cement Magazine has a review of the Brazilian cement industry, a plant visit report from InterCement's Ijaci plant and a visit report from Brazilian refractory manufacturer Magnesita - all to coincide with the 6th CBC Congresso do Cimento in São Paulo, Brazil. Other features include 150 years of Gebr. Pfeiffer, a detailed look at explosion venting and CO and NOx emission reduction.
Elsewhere there are features on bagging, packaging and palletising (along with a list of cement-relevant exhibitors from the forthcoming Interpack 2014 exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany and a wider look at refractory supplier contracts and news. The July - August 2014 issue of Global Cement Magazine focuses on the European and Asian cement industries. Highlights include a review of the Hillhead 2014 show, which took place in Derbyshire on 24 - 26 June 2014, a visit to Cemex's cement plant in Rugby, UK and a detailed overview of the Chinese cement industry.
Take a look at Nick Sutherland's paper, 'Cool Runnings' on page 8, which describes the application of Solex's new plate cooler technology for cement cooling, or perhaps Global Cement's review of the importance of product branding in the cement industry (page 12).
