May 2023

The May 2023 issue of Global Cement Magazine contains the first in a series of articles on the cement sector through the decades, starting with the many technical changes and emergence of large players between 1980 and 1989.

There are technical contributions on the benefits of using carbon nanotubes in cement and concrete products from CHASM Advanced Materials, waste heat recovery with Siemens Energy, alternative fuels with Vecoplan, conveying with Martin Engineering and a brace of articles on wear solutions for concrete producers. There's also a look at two of Europe's most technologically-advanced cement sectors - Austria and Switzerland - plus analysis of multinationals' responses in the Russian market after more than a year of war.
