Insee Cement starts installing Loesche mill at Ruhunu grinding plant
28 September 2017Sri Lanka: Insee Cement has started building a new 0.45Mt/yr cement grinding mill, supplied by Loesche, at its Ruhunu plant in Galle. Deputy Minister of Port and Shipping Nishantha Muthuhettigama and Residence Manager of Galle Sujeewa Wimalasiri attended the event, according to the Daily Financial Times newspaper. The US$14m project is scheduled for completion in mid-2018.
Loesche is supplying a jumbo-sized compact cement grinding (CSG) mill for the unit. The mill is capable of grinding clinker and granulated blast furnace slag into Portland Limestone Cement and Portland Slag Cement (PSC) with a throughput of up to 60t/hr.
KEC International announces orders for cement plants
27 September 2017India: KEC International has secured various orders with a value of up to US$10.7m for structural and civil work on cement plants. The package also includes work on a car factory. The orders have been announced as part of a wider group of orders worth US$156m that are mainly in the power transmission, cable and railway industries.
Cherat Cement orders engines from Wärtsilä
25 September 2017Pakistan: Cherat Cement has contracted Finland’s Wärtsilä to increase its power output at its Nowshera plant. It has ordered three Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines capable of operating on both natural gas and heavy fuel oil (HFO). The total electrical output will be approximately 29MW. Wärtsilä will also provide advisors to oversee the installation and commissioning of the engines.
“We need to enlarge our facilities and this we must to do quickly on a tight schedule. Wärtsilä has supported this timetable by agreeing to deliver their generating sets on a very short timetable…” said Azam Faruque, chief executive officer of Cherat Cement. The Nowshera cement plant is also powered by Wärtsilä equipment, consisting of four Wärtsilä 32 engines.
The new generators are scheduled for delivery in March 2018 and the plant is expected to be fully operational by June 2018.
Siwertell receives repeat order for road-mobile ship unloader
20 September 2017Sweden: Siwertell, part of Cargotec, has received a repeat order from an undisclosed client in the Middle East for a road-mobile ship unloader. The 10 000 S trailer-based, diesel-powered unit has been ordered in response to an expansion in white and grey cement operations.
India Cements orders mill system from FLSmidth
19 September 2017India: FLSmidth has signed a contract to deliver an OK 52-4 cement mill system for India Cements’ Shankar Nagar plant in Tamil Nadu. The engineering company will carry out the system engineering, procurement and supply machinery for a cement production capacity of 200t/hr of Ordinary Portland Cement at 3500 Blaine. The supply also includes a ROKSH 82 separator and gear units from FLSmidth product company, MAAG Gear.
"This contract reflects the strong relations we have had with the India Cements for almost a decade and our extensive knowledge in the region. We are happy to partner with them again," said Country Head of FLSmidth India, Carsten Riisberg Lund.
The new mill will replace the existing ball mills at the plant. The contract is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018.
Intercem to supply ball mill to Cem’In’Eu
18 September 2017France: Intercem has won an order to supply Cem’In’Eu with a cement grinding plant. Intercem will supply a Ø 3.20m x 10.00m EGL closed circuit ball mill with a IVS 62 vertical air separator. The groundbreaking ceremony for the unit will be held in October 2017 and the start of production is scheduled for April 2018.
The first compartment of the mill will be equipped with lifting liners to aid coarse grinding. The second compartment will be equipped with a three-step classifying liner system to provide ball sorting with a fine grinding action. An intermediate diaphragm will allow the adjustment of material flow levels to optimise material level in both compartments. The mill will be powered by a 1300kW side drive. Product collection will be arranged by direct separation using a 70,000m3/hr air jet filter.
Intercem will be responsible for plant engineering and documentation, including mechanical, civil and electrical engineering, programming works and documentation, mechanical assembly works and their supervision as well as mechanical and process commissioning and the training for operators. No value for the order has been disclosed.
Cem’In’Eu is a new cement producer with projects planned for sites at Tonneins in Lot et Garonne, at Port Fluvial de Chalon-sur-Saône in Saône et Loire and at Port d’Ottmarsheim in Haut-Rhin. The company plans to invest around Euro20m at each site. It also has development projects in Poland and in the UK.
Soma Cimento orders clinker production line from KHD
25 August 2017Turkey: Soma Cimento has ordered a 4000t/day clinker production line from KHD for its plant at Soma near Manisa. The contract includes engineering, equipment supply, and supervision of erection and commissioning, including KHD’s Simulex plant simulation system, which will simulate the operation of the plant. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for the spring of 2018.
The core components of KHD’s new line are: a five-stage KHD Preheater with Pyroclon-R LowNOx AF calciner, equipped with Pyrotop compact mixing chamber, tertiary air duct and Pyrobox calciner firing system; a Pyrorapid two-tire rotary kiln, with a diameter of 4.6m; a Pyro-jet kiln burner; and a Pyrofloor clinker cooler equipped with a Pyrocrusher System.
This project will be the third commissioning of KHD’s Low-NOx calciner with Pyroloop Technology in Turkey. It will be KHD’s 51st kiln line in Turkey. No value for the order has bee disclosed.
Aunde orders four mills from Loesche
21 August 2017Turkey: Germany’s Aunde has ordered four vertical roller mills from Loesche for a new cement plant being built in Soma. The order includes one 350t/hr raw material mill, one 30t/hr coal or 27t/hr petcoke mill and two 150t/hr clinker or granulated blast furnace slag mills. The scope of delivery also includes additional components such as water injection, cyclones, slide gates and rotary feeders as well as a spare parts package for the next two years.
Vietnam: Bim Son Cement has ordered a vertical roller mill to grind clinker and slag from Loesche for its 4Mt/yr plant in Thanh Hóa province. The new mill will have a throughput of 250t/hr and be able to grind input materials into Ordinary Portland Cement PCB 40. The order also includes a silo, blower, filter and a packing plant. The new mill is scheduled for commissioning in August 2017. No value for the order has been disclosed.
The subsidiary of Vietnam National Cement Corporation (VICEM) previously commissioned a mill from Loesche in 2000. This was followed by a raw mill and a coal mill in 2006.
India: France’s Fives has receive an order from AMCL Machinery to supply a new FCB TSV Classifier 4500 THF. The classifier will be used by Ramco Cements at its R R Nagar Plant in Tamil Nadu. Previously the cement producer has installed FCB TSV classifiers at its grinding plants in Kolagat, Salem and Chengalpattu.
