India: The Cement Manufacturers' Association (CMA) has elected Parth Jindal as president. Raghavpat Singhania has been appointed as the vice president of the association.

Parth Jindal is the managing director of JSW Cement. He is the youngest elected president of the CMA in its 60-year history, at 35 years old. Jindal will be responsible for driving CMA's policy agenda with the policy makers, regulators and other stakeholders, with an emphasis on sustainable manufacturing practices, energy transition (decarbonisation) and logistics optimisation, to present the collective voice and priorities of the Cement Industry at CMA.

Raghavpat Singhania is the managing director of JK Cement with considerable experience in the grey and white cement sector. He is expected to further advance CMA's objectives by strengthening industry advocacy and engagement.

The CMA is the association of large cement manufacturers in India. It represents almost 70% of the installed cement capacity in the country.

Portugal: The Technical Cement Industry Association (ATIC) has appointed Pedro Reis as its president. He will do this at the same time as Cevat Mert, the CEO of Cimpor Portugal and Cape Verde. Reis will continue to work as the vice-chair of Cimpor. Reis has a government background having previously worked as the Minister for the Economy and as the chair at AICEP, the Portuguese Agency for Foreign Trade and Investment.

Colombia: Grupo Argos has appointed Juan Esteban Calle as its president. He will succeed Jorge Mario Velásquez in the role from 1 April 2026.

Calle has worked as the president of Cementos Argos since 2016. Earlier in his career he held positions including Senior Investment Banking Associate at Chase Manhattan Bank, Secretary of Finance of the Department of Antioquia, Director of Foreign Investment at the Proexport Office in Canada and Investment Advisor at the Bank of Montreal. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad EAFIT and a master’s of business administration (MBA) majoring in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago.

India: Shree Cement has appointed Shailesh Ambastha as its Chief Logistics Officer. He previously held the position of President - Sales for Shree Cement from late 2022. Before this Ambastha worked for ACC from 2014 to 2022 starting in a logistic role before moving to regional sales director jobs.
