Bolivia: Mexico-based GCC says it has received a settlement of US$71.5m in relation to arbitration proceedings in connection with the sale in 2011 of its stake in Sociedad Boliviana de Cemento (SOBOCE) to Consorcio Cementero del Sur. It won the settlement in November 2025. GCC said that, as a result of the execution of the settlement agreement and receipt of the payment, the dispute has been fully resolved, with no further liability for GCC. The government in Bolivia took over a stake in SOBOCE subsidiary Fábrica Nacional de Cementos (FANCESA) in 2010. GCC subsequently sold its share to Peru-based Grupo Gloria.
