Germany: Manuel Mohr has become the CEO of the German Cement Works Association (VDZ). He succeeds Martin Schneider, who is due to retire by the end of 2026.
Mohr previously worked as the Head of Political and Economic Affairs at the VDZ from 2015. Alongside this he has also worked as the Managing Director of the InformationsZentrum Beton since 2021. Earlier in his career, he worked as Energy and Environmental Policy Advisor for the German Cement Manufacturers Association (BDZ) from 2011 to 2015 and a Research Associate - EU Energy and Climate Policy at the Institut für Europäische Politik from 2010. Mohr holds an undergraduate degree in social sciences from the Humboldt University of Berlin and a master’s degree in European Union Studies from Leiden University.
