Poland: Poland produced 9.3Mt of cement in the first half of 2022, up by 8.6% year-on-year from the same period in 2021. The Polish Association of Cement Manufacturers (SPC) recorded an 11% increase in national cement consumption to 6.8Mt during the reporting period. The Institute of Economic Forecasts and Analyses has estimated that full-year demand will reach 20Mt in 2022.
Polish cement producers to meet sales forecast in 2016
04 January 2017Poland: The Polish cement industry is expected to meet a sales forecast of 15.8Mt made by the Polish Association of Cement Producers (SPC). Jan Deja confirmed the prediction based on data for November and December 2016 from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) and the weather at this time in comments made to the Polish News Bulletin. He added that 2016 had seen a 'significant' drop in investments and that a boom in residential construction had compensated for a decline in infrastructure development. However, tenders for infrastructure projects have been launched suggesting that sales might reach up to 16.5Mt in 2017.
Poland’s cement sales to grow to 16Mt in 2015
08 January 2015Poland: According to the Polish Association of Cement Producers (SPC), cement sales might exceed 16Mt in 2015, while in 2017 - 2018 they might return to the record-breaking level of 19Mt. Official sales figures for 2014 have not been revealed yet, but recent estimates show that some 15 - 15.2Mt of cement were sold in 2014, which would represent a 6% increase when compared to the 14.3Mt sold in 2013.
