Iskitimcement expands fleet
20 June 2017Russia: Iskitimcement has expanded its fleet with the purchase of three Scania P Series trucks with Sespel bulk cement semi trailers for Euro557,000. The new 28.1t vehicles have been designed specifically for the Russian market. The trailers can transport up to 30t of cargo each. Vladimir Skakun, the general director of the cement producer, commented that its road shipments are growing and that it expects to deliver up to 24,000t/month of cement in the summer of 2017 from a fleet of 26 vehicles. The company has plans to increase its fleet further in the future.
Federal Antimonopoly Service approves deals between SibCem with Angarskcement and Iskitimcement
12 May 2017Russia: The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has approved Siberian Cement Holding Company (SibCem) to acquire executive body rights in Angarskcement and Iskitimcement. In the case of the transactions, the charter capital structure of Angarskcement and Iskitimcement will not change, the companies will sign management contracts, according to the Kommersant newspaper. Sibcem holds a 49.9% stake in Iskitimcement, via Topkinsky Cement, and a 43.33% stake in Angarskcement.
Russia: Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service has blocked concrete producer Sibirsky Cement from acquiring a 90% stake of Iskitimtsement's voting shares, the authority has said in a statement. According to the watchdog the purchase might hinder competition within the Siberian Federal District. The Federal Antimonopoly Service also prohibited Russkaya Tsementnaya Kompaniya from acquiring a 100% stake of Iskitimtsement's voting shares, on the grounds that the merger might trigger a price hike.
In October 2012 Iskitimtsement reported a rise in its output by 23.1% year-on-year to 1.12Mt for the first nine months of 2012. Later in the same month it announced that it expected to triple its net profit in 2012 to Euro19.7m. Established in 1934, Iskitimtsement is one of the leading cement producers in the Novosibirsk Region.
Iskitimtsement output rises 23.1%
03 October 2012Russia: RATM Holding's Iskitimcement Cement Plant has reported a rise in its output by 23.1% year-on-year to 1.12Mt for January to September 2012. Deliveries rose by 28.9% to 1.29Mt in the same period.
In July to September 2012 Iskitimtsement produced 535,000t of cement and sold 579,369t. In September 2012 the company's output reached 168,000t and sales were 187,434t. Iskitimtsement has said that it plans to boost 2012 production by 9.4% year-on-year to 1.4Mt/yr.
Nationally, cement production in Russia to expected to reach 61Mt in 2012 as the construction industry continues to drive growth. During the first half of 2012, construction output managed to maintain a growth pace above that of the gross domestic product (GDP), recording a 5.4% expansion in year-on-year terms while GDP managed to expand by only 4.5% for the same period. At the same time, the production of cement in Russia totalled nearly 27.8Mt in the first half of 2012, representing a 14.1% annual increase. The sector is expected to further intensify in the near future due to large investments by public authorities in construction projects.
