20 August 2015Indonesia: PT Bhumiadya Indonesia, part of the Sibleco Group and a manufacturer of industrial minerals with 228 sites worldwide, has ordered a coal mill from Loesche for its new limestone plant in Bandung, Indonesia. The LM 17.20 D vertical roller mill grind 10t/hr of coal to a fineness of 10% R 90μm. The scope of supply also includes filters, blowers, a Loesche hot gas generator and inertisation flaps. The delivery of the mill key parts is scheduled to take place at the end of 2015.
Mexico: Cementos Moctezuma, a joint venture company of Cementos Molins, Buzzi Unicem and Grupo Carso, has ordered a Loesche vertical roller mill LM 53.3+3 C for its cement plant in Apazapan, Veracruz. The mill will produce 205t/hr CPC 30 cement at 4000 Blaine or 195t/hr CPC 40 cement at 3700 Blaine.
The order also includes a LDC classifier (Loesche Dynamic Classifier), as well as the COPE gearbox, including gearbox drive motors, developed in cooperation with RENK AG. The COPE gearbox features a redundancy of eight motors. With all eight motors in operation, an output totaling 4.6MW is achieved. The customer advantage lies in the fact that the COPE gearbox can reach up to 100% of the mill capacity performance even with a reduced number of motors. The COPE gearbox has the same external dimensions as a conventional planetary gear system and thus requires no extensive enlargement of the mill foundations.

The LM 48.4 LOESCHE vertical roller mill will grind cement raw material with a capacity of 280t/hr at 12% R0.09mm. The LM 53.3+3C cement mill will produce 200t/hr of Ordinary Portland cement with a fineness of 3200 Blaine. LDC classifiers are also included. Delivery of the key parts is planned for November 2015.
Turkey: Loesche has delivered and is currently installing a LM 45.4 raw meal mill ordered by Vicat Service Technique Ciment for Bastas Baskent Çimento in Elmadag in May 2014.
The Loesche LM 45.4 vertical roller mill will grind 260t/hr cement raw meal at a product fineness of 16% R90μm. The installed drive power is 2100kW. Loesche's scope of supply includes weigh feeders, apron feeders, magnetic separators, metal detectors, shut-off and control flaps, vibrating conveyors, a bucket elevator and expansion joints. The commissioning of the new mill is scheduled for the third quarter of 2015.
Thailand: Siam Cement Group (SCG) has commissioned Loesche to deliver an LM 56.3+3 C vertical roller mill for the grinding of clinker for its existing cement plant in Ta Luang, Thailand.

Commissioning of the LM 56.3+3 at SCG's Ta Luang cement plant is expected to take place in December 2015.
Clean water for Malawi and Bangladesh
24 February 2015Bangladesh/Malawi: Germany's Loesche has been supporting the non-profit organisation Charity: Water. The first result of the engagement was a water well in Lutarupara-Molliktola, Bangladesh.
After more than a year's preparation, at the end of 2014 an additional well was completed in Chiphwafu village, Malawi. The drilled well allows the village community year-round access to clean drinking water that is free of pathogens and pollutants. Alongside the construction of the well, the people in the village were taught about safe and sustainable ways to use water. Of Malawi's 15.9 million inhabitants, around 3 million have no access to clean water and 92% have no access to sanitation facilities.

Loesche supplies the first two vertical roller mills for cement grinding to El Arish Cement
24 November 2014Egypt: El Arish Cement is extending the clinker production capacity of its existing cement plant and will add two new lines with a clinker production capacity of 5500t/day.
El Arish Cement already operates two Loesche vertical roller mills, type LM 56.4, for cement raw material grinding within its existing two lines. The new type LM 56.4 mills will have 450t/hr of grinding capacity and a product fineness of 12% R90μm. As the new mills are of the same type as the existing ones, common spare parts can be used, keeping the spare parts demand to a minimum.
For cement grinding, El Arish Cement has also selected Loesche vertical roller mills of type LM 63.3+3. The table diameter of the mills is 6.3m and will be driven by a drive system with a rated capacity of 6800kW. The mills will grind various cement types, with capacities of up to 305t/hr.
