Germany: Eric Jaschke has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Schenck Process Group with effect from 1 July 2016. Jaschke will preside over the Schenck Process Group’s global financial organisation, working closely with Andreas Evertz, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Jaschke has already fulfilled the role of CFO on a provisional basis since October 2015.

Jaschke started his career at Schenck Process in 1999 as a specialist for international controlling. In this capacity he focused on building and advancing a management information system. He was CFO of Schenck Process Australia from 2006 to 2007 and became Managing Director of the company in Australia at the start of 2008. Jaschke returned to Germany in 2012 and led the Business Unit Heavy in Darmstadt, one of the four core Business Units of Schenck Process.

Jaschke holds a master’s degree in business administration at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia. He gained his bachelor’s degree at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim, Germany.

Germany/Sweden: Sandvik Mining and Schenck Process have signed a global partnership agreement. The partnership provides increased crushing circuit productivity for Schenck Process double and single deck high capacity banana screens and Sandvik high productivity cone crushers. It also enables a single service provider approach to support customers throughout the entire plant life cycle.

“This partnership agreement allows our customers to raise their overall crushing and screening plant productivity by focusing on process efficiency in its entirety, as opposed to individual pieces of equipment,” said Mary Verschuer, President Minerals & Metals, Schenck Process Group. She added that mid-tier miners looking for a single solution across the crushing circuit will benefit from the deal.

Schenck Process Business Unit Minerals & Metals is supplier of solutions for screening applications in mining. Sandvik is a supplier of crushers and crushing technologies. The agreement covers both new crushing and screening plants and replacements.

Europe: Holcim has adopted an automated dispatch processes and weighing technology in its Eastern Europe plants using logistics software from Schenck Process. Since the start of 2014 the LOGiQ software has automated process and data management relating to dispatch services in the company's 14 locations in the region. In January 2015 the software handled more than 10,000 transport orders. Four other locations are currently in the process of being connected to the dispatch automation system.

"The requirements for such integrated solutions fits in very well with Schenck Process not only because of its know-how in the field of weighing technology, its equipment and machinery but also in the area of software," explains Nino Stölzel, Sales Manager at Schenck Process.

Germany: Uwe Väth has assumed control over operations of the Schenck Process Group, effective 1 April 2015. In this role, he will be responsible for global manufacturing, supply chain and purchasing and will report to Andreas Evertz, president and CEO. At the same time, he will become joint managing director acting from the company headquarters of Schenck Process GmbH, which plays the leading and coordinating role for all European countries as well as Russia and parts of Africa. Uwe Väth comes from the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The appointment reflects the enormous importance of operations for the Schenck Process Group. In the future, Horst Klein will take on responsibility as the vice president of purchasing and thus ensure continuity and further development. In this capacity, he will report directly to Uwe Väth.

"Thanks to his comprehensive expertise and many years of experience in the area of operations, Väth will intensively drive the development of the Schenk Process Group forward. Through his activities as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he has already gained insights into our company, meaning that both sides can seamlessly build upon this cooperation. I'm very pleased to welcome him as part of the management team," said Andreas Evertz.

As a graduate engineer, Uwe Väth worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in Frankfurt am Main for many years, where he had been a partner since 2011. He had also built up the strategy and operations division and oversaw projects together with his teams in the areas of purchasing, supply chain, production and tool manufacturing, quality and logistics. International customers that are active in the areas of industrial production, process industry and plastics processing were catered to.
