Uzbekistan: Turkey’s DAL Teknik Makina has ordered a MVR 5000 R-4 cement grinding mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for a project in the Surxondaryo region. The mill will have a 3700kW drive and it will be able to grind 400t/hr of cement. Feed material with a moisture level of up to 7% will be ground to a fineness of 12% R 0.090mm. The mill will be ready for shipping later in 2017. The project is the second mill that DAL Teknik Makina has ordered from Gebr. Pfeiffer.
Messebo Cement buys 200 trucks from Man
26 April 2017Ethiopia: Messebo Cement has purchased 200 trucks from Germany’s Man for US$30m. The cement producer has expanded its fleet to reduce its transportation costs, according to the Ethiopian Reporter newspaper. The trucks have been assembled locally by Mesfin Industrial Engineering, a sister company to Massebo, after shipping. 25 of the trucks are silo trucks for transporting bulk cement and 50 are dump trucks.
Meghna Cement Mills to install new mill
12 April 2017Bangladesh: Meghna Cement Mills has signed a contract with Denmark’s FLSmidth to install a vertical roller mill with a production capacity of 2Mt/yr. The contract has been valued at US$15.7m and it will be installed by mid-2019, according to the Daily Star newspaper. The cement producer is taking loans from the Infrastructure Development Company to pay for the upgrade. Meghna Cement Mills operates a 1.2Mt/yr plant at the Port of Mongla. It markets its cement under the King Brand Cement line.
Poland: Beumer Group has received an order from Mostostal Kraków to provide four belt bucket elevators for the LafargeHolcim cement plant at Kujawy. These systems are part of a project to improve the production and the quality of cement blends.
Mostostal Kraków, a steelworks company is the general contactor on the project and it will provide LafargeHolcim with cement silos as well as the corresponding conveying technology. Beumer's belt bucket elevators, with centre distances of up to 50m, will enable a conveying capacity of 350t/hr, which is ensured by the special belt design of the steel wire belts. The systems will go into operation at the end of 2017.
Gebr. Pfeiffer reveals mill orders in India and Pakistan
04 April 2017India/Pakistan: Gebr. Pfeiffer has released information about orders for its mills for projects in India and Pakistan. In India Wonder Cement has ordered a MVR 6000 C-6 vertical roller mill from the company for its Nimbahera cement plant in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The mill will have a 5820kW drive and it will grind cement to a fineness of 4500 cm²/g according to Blaine. The mill can also be used to grind blended cement using slag, fly ash and gypsum.
Core components of the mill, including the rollers, will be supplied from Europe. The mill foundation parts, the housing and the integrated SLS 5600 BC classifier will be provided by Gebr. Pfeiffer India. Delivery of the mill is scheduled by the end of 2017.
In Pakistan Cherat Cement have ordered a MVR 6300 C-6 mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for its cement plant in Cherat. The mill will grind 365t/hr of Ordinary Portland Cement to a fineness of 3200cm2/g according to Blaine. The MultiDrive will have a total output of 7800kW. Delivery is scheuled for 2018.

Loesche reports on DG Khan Cement project at Hub
31 March 2017Pakistan: Loesche has released details on its order to supply three grinding plants for DG Khan Cement for a new 9000t/day clinker production line at Hub in Balochistan. The contract, which was originally signed in September 2015, includes one 654t/hr raw meal, one 445t/hr Ordinary Portland Cement mill with a COPE drive and a 66t/hr coal mill. Loesche says that the raw mill with a nominal capacity of 1050t/hr will be the biggest raw material mill in the world. Loesche is responsible for the full mechanical equipment and together with Loesche Automation for the electrical engineering package along with all hardware supply from steel structure to electrical equipment and automation.
Philippines: APO Cement Corporation, a subsidiary of Cemex Philippines, has ordered a 4.5MW waste heat recovery unit from China’s Sinoma Energy Conservation. Sinoma will build and operate it. The new unit is expected to reduce the negative effects of power cuts, save energy costs and reduce the cement plant’s carbon emissions. No delivery date or cost of the order has been disclosed.
India: Sagar Cement has ordered a vertical roller mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for grinding granulated blast-furnace slag and granulated blast-furnace slag cements. The mill will be used at a new 160t/hr slag grinding plant at the cement producer’s Bayyavaram Village unit near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Delivery is scheduled to take place before the end of 2017. No price for the order has been disclosed.
The order is for a MVR 5000 C-4 mill equipped with a 4300kW-drive and four grinding rollers with active redundancy. The plant will grind granulated blast-furnace slag with a fineness of about 4,500 cm²/g acc. Blaine and it will also be able to grind composite cements from varying portions of granulated blast-furnace slag, fly ash and gypsum.
Core components of the mills, including the roller, tension system, grinding bowl and planetary gearbox, will be supplied from Europe. The mill foundation parts, the housing and the integrated high-efficiency classifier of the type SLS 4750 BC will be provided by Gebr. Pfeiffer India. The local subsidiary will also supply most of the equipment required to complete the grinding plant, including the plant fan and hot gas generator.
Biskria Ciment orders five mills from Loesche
20 March 2017Algeria: Biskria Ciment has ordered five vertical rollers mills from Loesche. The contract includes two raw cement mills and three clinker mills for the plant at Biskra. With these mills raw cement meal can be ground to a fineness of 12% sieving residue with 90μm at a processing capacity of 500t/hr and the cement clinker to a fineness of 3,400 Blaine. The three new cement clinker mills have already been delivered and commissioning is planned for autumn 2017. The Chinese company CBMI Construction will act as contractor in this enterprise. No value for the order has been disclosed.
FLSmidth awarded project by El Sewedy Cement
07 March 2017Egypt: FLSmidth has been awarded an order from El Sewedy Cement Company to build a cement production line at Ain Soukhna in Suez Governorate. The order is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The full scope of the order includes an OK 39-4 vertical mill for raw grinding, EV 250x300 Hammer Impact Crusher, stacker and reclaimer systems for storage, QCX quality control system, ECS/ControlCenter control system, Rotax-2 rotary kiln with low NOx ILC calciner, Jetflex burner and a FLSmidth Cross-Bar cooler. The OK mill and Rotax-2 kiln will be the first of these models to be installed in Egypt. Additional equipment in the order includes planetary gear units from FLSmidth MAAG Gear, electrostatic precipitators and fabric filters from FLSmidth Airtech, a control system and plant automation from FLSmidth Automation and weighing and metering systems from FLSmidth Pfister.
