Abdelali Temsamani appointed as president of Burkina Faso Cement Association

Burkina Faso: The Burkina Faso Cement Association has elected Abdelali Temsamani as its president. Temsamani has been the director general of Ciments d'Afrique (CIMAF) Burkina Faso since 2018. The association also elected Abdoul Rahim Kanazoe, the director general of CIMFASO, as its secretary general, according to Burkina 24. The association was formed in 2016 to support the local cement sector.
Portland Cement Association appoints Dave Nepereny as honorary member

US: The Portland Cement Association (PCA) has appointed Dave Nepereny as an honorary member. The role is awarded to those who, in the opinion of the PCA board of directors, have rendered outstanding service to the cement industry and the association. Nepereny was a former chief executive officer at Buzzi Unicem and as a member of the PCA board of directors, he served as a former chairman from 1994 - 1995. He also served as a board member to former PCA sister organisation, CTLGroup.
“Dave was actively involved with multiple aspects of PCA, setting an example as a former Chairman and chair for multiple committees, including the Membership Development, Market Development Council, and the Administrative council,” said PCA chairman and president of GCC of America, Ron Henley.
Félix González appointed as president of ADOCEM

Dominican Republic: The Dominican Association of Portland Cement Producers (ADOCEM) has appointed Félix González as the president of its board of directors. He succeeds Adriano Brunetti in the post and will serve a term until 2023, according to CDN. González, a Colombian-Venezuelan national, holds over 45 years of experience in the cement sector. He has been the general manager of Cementos Santo Domingo since 2010.
Rachid Yousry appointed as chief executive officer of LafargeHolcim Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast: LafargeHolcim Ivory Coast has appointed Rachid Yousry as its chief executive officer. He succeeds Xavier Saint-Martin-Tillet, who has been in the post since November 2020, according to the Financial Afrik newspaper.
Yousry has worked for LafargeHolcim in a number of supply chain and sales roles since 2011. His last posting was as the Country Commercial & Supply Chain Director for LafargeHolcim Jordan. Prior to working for LafargeHolcim, he held roles at Teleinfo 5, Unilever, AMS Baeshen. Yousry holds a bachelors degree in information technology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the École des Ponts Business School.
ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions India appoints Rajesh Kamath as managing director

India: ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions India has appointed Rajesh Kamath as its chief executive officer and managing director. He succeeds PD Samudra. who plans to retire at the end of June 2021 after being in post since 2014.
Kamath is a graduate engineer from Bangalore University. Previously he was the managing director of Air Liquide Engineering and Construction in India. He has also held executive positions with Technip India and Aker Solutions.
